Sebastián Silva and Kristen Wiig star in the year’s freshest and most progressive comedy-drama.

Before she does battle with an army of slimy spectres in this summer’s Ghostbusters reboot, you’ll be able to catch Kristen Wiig confronting something even more terrifying: adult male infertility.

The film follows New York friends Polly and Freddy (played by Wiig and writer/director Sebastián Silva), whose plans to have a baby are derailed by Freddy’s low sperm count. What starts out as a fun and frisky queer comedy takes an unexpected turn late on, Silva flipping the film’s inward-looking worldview on its head in dramatic fashion.

In our rave review – which you can read in our latest print issue – we call Nasty Baby a casual modern masterpiece.” Watch the trailer above and share your reaction with us @LWLies

Nasty Baby is released in cinema and on demand 8 April. Find out more at nastybabyfilm.co.uk
