Before she does battle with an army of slimy spectres in this summer’s Ghostbusters reboot, you’ll be able to catch Kristen Wiig confronting something even more terrifying: adult male infertility.
The film follows New York friends Polly and Freddy (played by Wiig and writer/director Sebastián Silva), whose plans to have a baby are derailed by Freddy’s low sperm count. What starts out as a fun and frisky queer comedy takes an unexpected turn late on, Silva flipping the film’s inward-looking worldview on its head in dramatic fashion.
