Watch Alexan­der Skars­gård go ape in The Leg­end of Tarzan trailer

The beefed-up Swedish actor and Mar­got Rob­bie go wild in the jun­gle in this colo­nial adventure.

There’s a touch of old Hol­ly­wood about the first offi­cial teas­er for Har­ry Pot­ter direc­tor David Yates’ Tarzan movie-with-a-twist. The action-packed jun­gle epic stars Alexan­der Skars­gård as the epony­mous man-ape, Mar­got Rob­bie as Jane, Christoph Waltz as Bel­gian expe­di­tion leader Leon Rom, with Samuel L Jack­son, John Hurt and Dji­mon Houn­sou adding support.

Flip­ping the leg­end on its head, the plot sees a gen­tri­fied John Clay­ton III (née Tarzan) leave Lon­don behind to serve as a trade emis­sary of the Con­golese Par­lia­ment, unaware that he’s a pawn in a wicked plot.
