Cannes 2016: Line-up announced

Steven Spielberg, Nicolas Winding Refn and Jim Jarmusch are among those with new films at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.

It’s that time of year again when the world of movies and its figurative wife divert their attentions to the French Riviera when art cinema’s merry prankster, Thierry Frémaux, finally puts an end to the months of heated conjecture and announces the line-up to the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

We’ll be on the ground covering all the big screenings and reporting on all the big revelations as and when they happen, but in the meantime, here are the films that make up this year’s official selection…
