Cannes 2016: Line-up announced

Steven Spiel­berg, Nico­las Wind­ing Refn and Jim Jar­musch are among those with new films at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.

It’s that time of year again when the world of movies and its fig­u­ra­tive wife divert their atten­tions to the French Riv­iera when art cinema’s mer­ry prankster, Thier­ry Fré­maux, final­ly puts an end to the months of heat­ed con­jec­ture and announces the line-up to the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

We’ll be on the ground cov­er­ing all the big screen­ings and report­ing on all the big rev­e­la­tions as and when they hap­pen, but in the mean­time, here are the films that make up this year’s offi­cial selection…
