Watch the explicit first trailer for Noel Clarke’s Brotherhood

Words by Sam Thompson

The writer/director has recruited grime artist Stormzy for the final instalment in his urban crime saga.

After a brief flirt with Hollywood and a couple of fairly underwhelming directorial ventures, Noel Clarke is returning to where it all began for him 10 years ago. Following on from Kidulthood and Adulthood, Brotherhood sees British actor and writer/director reprise his role as Sam Peel, who faces familiar challenges and dangers as he reunites with old friends. There’s also a few new faces, most notably UK grime star Stormzy who appears alongside Clarke as Yardz.

The film’s tagline suggests that this will be the last chapter of the “hood” story, and it certainly feels more like the end of an era than the beginning of a new one. Check out the trailer above for yourself and let us know what you think @LWLies.
