Watch the brand new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer

It’s Bruce Wayne versus Clark Kent in this latest look Zack Snyder’s comic book bonanza.

“If man won’t kill God, the Devil will do it.” In the opening 60 seconds of the new trailer for Batman v Superman, Ben Affleck’s older, cynical Bruce Wayne meets Henry Cavill’s younger, puritanical Clark Kent for the first time. It’s a tantalising introduction which is promptly broken up by Jesse Eisenberg’s shrill Lex Luthor, who drops a couple of lame wink-wink gags that were clearly written for the trailer.

Which begs the question, did this superhero mash-up really need a villain? Wouldn’t it be more fun just watching Bruce and Clark – the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel – go at it? Give the trailer a watch and decide for yourself.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is released March 2016.
