Al Gore takes aim at Trump in the sequel to An Inconvenient Truth

The former Vice President turns up the heat in the follow-up to his award-winning climate change doc.

A decade after An Inconvenient Truth brought climate change to the attention of the masses, the passionate environmentalist (and former US Vice President) will bring the topic back into the light.

Directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk, this follow-up looks at where we are now, and what has happened in the interim. We follow Gore as he travels the globe to witness the effects of global warming up close, and see him attempt to persuade government leaders to invest in renewable energy.

The trailer is bookended by clips of the current US president’s dismissive remarks on the matter, but hits a more optimistic note by spotlighting the success of the Paris Climate Agreement in 2016.

“We’re seeing a tremendous amount of change,” Gore tells a live studio audience, “But it’s still not enough”.

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power is released 25 August.
