We catch up with one of our all-time favourite filmmakers about his sci-fi caper and creating croissant-like creatures.

It’s no secret at Little White Lies we’re big fans of Bong Joon Ho, the South Korean wunderkind behind such marvels as Memories of Murder, The Host and, of course, Parasite, so it’s safe to say we’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of Mickey 17. A whole six years after he scooped the Palme d’Or and Best Picture Oscar, Director Bong is back and bigger than ever. We caught up with him ahead of Mickey 17’s release to chat creepy creatures, Robert Pattinson’s vague idea of a Pittsburgh accent, and his uncanny talent for predicting the future.

Mickey 17 is in UK and Irish cinemas from Friday 7 March 2025.
