Brie Lar­son and new­com­er Jacob Trem­blay play a shut-in moth­er and son in this seri­ous awards contender.

Based on the best sell­ing nov­el by Emma Donoghue, Room is the aston­ish­ing new film from Frank and What Richard Did direc­tor Lenny Abrahamson.

It tells the sto­ry of a young moth­er (Brie Lar­son) forced to raise her son in iso­la­tion from the out­side world and boasts a sen­sa­tion­al break­out per­for­mance from Jacob Trem­blay, who pro­vides the bit­ter­sweet voiceover in this first UK trailer.
