With its snowed-in set­ting, homi­ci­dal boun­ty hunters and orig­i­nal Ennio Mor­ri­cone score, Quentin Tarantino’s The Hate­ful Eight bears a strik­ing resem­blance to Ital­ian direc­tor Ser­gio Corbucci’s blood-soaked Spaghet­ti west­ern from 1968, The Great Silence.
