John Carpenter’s The Thing is rightly regarded as one of the most influential genre movies ever made – you may have noticed posters for the film plastered on the kids’ bedroom walls in Stranger Things – and its enduring appeal is in part down to its phenomenal soundtrack by legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone.

Now this super rare soundtrack is being reissued on vinyl courtesy of horror soundtrack specialists Waxwork Records, who announced the news via their Instagram page.
