The free online course, which started yesterday, features micro masterclasses from the likes of Trainspotting DoP Brian Tufano, Locke editor Justine Wright and Leaving Las Vegas director Mike Figgis, and covers everything from scripting to financing to how editing effect meaning.

To get you started, check out this great clip of Tufano revealing how they shot the worst toilet in Scotland’ scene in Danny Boyle’s 1996 film Trainspotting.
